Words Beyond Walls is a queer and disabled-led letter-writing collective offering love, solidarity, and connection to people held in immigration detention facilities. We believe that no one belongs in a cage—and that words can carry warmth, memory, and resistance across the iciest walls. ALL are welcome to join. EVERYONE is needed.

We gather to write letters, share snacks (virtually), hold grief, and learn together. No experience necessary—just a heart willing to reach beyond.

Your letters can be anonymous or personalized. We’ll guide you through risk assessment and how to navigate your safety needs.
